Is it common for 22R's to run rich? You can smell the fuel in the exhaust on mine.

i can smell it on mine(a little bit of burning oil) but i have 2-1/2in exhaust w/ a flowmaster dumped at the axle..

Mine smells a little of burnig oil also. Needs a valve cover gasket. How does it sound with the flowmaster muffler?

i need a VC gasket too(again) w/ my setup...its fun to say the least. in the morning w/ the truck being cold..i can make it backfire LOL its funny as hell to see pples reaction.

but its ok, if i would do it over i'd do a 2-1/4" exhaust to have more backpressure and probably a magnaflow exhaust or a 50series flowmaster to tone it down. if its ur daily, you wouldnt want the 40series its fun for a while, but u get tired of it eventually

I really like it quiet. But a nice deep tone is even better. Thanks for the recommendation!

then the 40series is NOT the way to go..deep yes, quiet no

and its not really THAT deep if you ask me, its borderline ricer on the truck, it maybe the size piping i have too

May be. I would adapt it onto my stock system. Maybe a Magnaflow would be better.

yea i heard better things about magnaflow

If you are running too rich, that can do as much damage to a engine as running lean!
