Importing from Honduras is the same as importing from AU, or DE, or really anywhere. Customs requires that all cars imported for parts must be broken down to prevent reassembly. Sending just a cab would qualify as parts. If you tried to send a whole TRUCK though, you would have to cut it up, either the frame or the firewall, to prevent reassembly. What I am saying is, if you want to "sneak" one in complete, you will get busted. Customs isnt stupid, and there have been thousands of cars/trucks either sent back to where they came from or crushed on the spot for non compliance with regs. If your friend is really an RI (registered importer) he will tell you about the penaties and fines and loss of money associated with trying to circumvent the system.
From Mexico, you have to have a Mexican citizenship and the truck must be tagged as a Mexican vehicle always. I'm not sure, I dont think the crew cab mazda was ever sold in Mexico, but I know toyotas and Nissans etc were.
If you have space in a container, and are going to get a cab, please contact me, I want a 97 Mazda Bravo bumper and it will easily fit inside your cab. I'm sure you can even find other guys who will chip in and help defray shipping costs with you by sending small parts along with your cab.
