Honest Opinons on E valves please???

i found out that e valves dont work well with belt driven compressor because the oil screws them up. but the valves sell like crazy so i guess people like them.

i have heard nothing but problems...

I experienced the same problem with the control solenoid falling off. I guess the nuts that hold them arent on very tight, I had to jack up my truck because the solenoid lost ground connection and wouldnt raise. I used some lock tight on the nuts so they wouldnt fall off again and I havent had any problems since. I think they are great I have the 450 e valves. I would recommend using lock tight on the nuts before using the valves seeing as im not the only one this has happened to.

uhhh..crap, i got 2 1/2" 270psi ones sitting at home in the boxes. think SD will take them back in trade for some trusty SMC's??

Well, I'm not very happy with mine. They don't work very well w/o the truck running(low power). They seem very big to me also(I nothing else to compare them to though). Then on one it was leaking so I tightened it up to seal it, well the brass could handle it and became stripped.They work fine now, it was just a huge pain to get them to work. I won't ever run them on any future projects...

i have not had any trouble out of mine.

Mine work great... kinda makes me nervous though reading these posts, hopefully they dont scew up on me.
