yes i got 17 out of it on the way down. didnt get that on the way back though. over all for the whole trip i averaged 14-15 towing. I was borrowing the truck and trailer from my father and hes got the truck programmed with a Superchips Programmer.

Ive also pulled with his 7.3 Ford and it got a chip, Banks trans reprogrammer, Banks Turbo Housing and wastgate, and Banks Exhaust and still has nowhere near the ass that the Dmax has. It does get a bit better fuel mileage though.

I have a 02 F250 with the 5.4 and it pulls pretty good for a gas truck. And I also have a 05 F550 with the 6.0 and its pulls damn good! I pull some heavy ass equipment with both and not had a problem.

Get the Chevy 2500 HD with the 8.1 and Allison transmission... That's what my stepdad has and we pull our 28' toyhauler trailer loaded full over the Sierra's all the time. Pulls easy, and my stepdad said it gets better gas milage than our 350 Suburban did pulling the trailer.

I am planning on a gas motor to keep cost down because i plan on buying a house in a few years, i am looking into an extended cab, whichever truck, it will be loaded.
