I;m goin to be trailering my bagged car about 200 miles, should i leave the car locked up or laid out? Were should the chains be connected to suspension or frame cause it seems to me if i leave the car locked up and put chains to the frame they will loosin up when the car moves on bump. Please help guys.

well you really dont want it all the way up becuz itll bounce all over the place. when i tow a ride on air i leave it about 2inches from touchin. but thats me im sure someone well say diff

I am not saying that anyone is wrong or right but when i tow mine i lay it all the way out and tie the frame down that way it is not going to bounce or move anywhere. But if you do not want you frame laying out you can put 2x4's under it when you lay it out and tie it down that way.

I leave mine up also. It keeps it from banging around and you have room for your straps so their not against the paint.Plus depending on your trailer's fenders it gives you room to open doors.

I agree with Clayton. Lay it out on 2x4s and strap down the frame. You really dont need the 2x4s if it isn't body dropped.

if you lay it out tie it to the frame and if you are up a little then tie down the suspension. i personally lay mine out when i trailer and the reason they say use 2X4's for body drops is it keeps the body from apsorbing all the bumps of the road and warping your panels. have fun.

i tow mine laid out with it tied to the frame in the front/axle in the back and it tows fine

Lay it out and strap through the wheels with Tie-Downs and towels so they dont get scratched! Thats how I was always taught. And thats how we tow cars on the flat bed. You can also run saftey hooks.

you could also use those wheel net things that ratchet down over the top of your rims.

I lay mine out with two straps going forward off the i-beams and two going backwards off the axle.
