ya ill take a urethane end over a heim joint any day. even those expensive teflon coated joints dont last that long, start making noise like you wouldnt believe.

There is a truck my brother was considering trading for and it comes with a bag kit and fbi universal 4link, and I just wanted to ask about these heims since all ive used is bushings. Im gonna check out http://www.sealsit.com also for when I build my radius rods or if he does end up getting the truck, thanks guys

I found the history of the heim joint lol.. click here to check it out

that fbi 4link is junk, any 4 link that is 200 or less and has heims is gonna have cheap heims that can break, and will probably be wore out already.

I run hiems on the axle end of every 4link I have done and they work groovy. You have to use a good quality one though or they will wear out. I use 4 piece ones with teflon liners from Aurora and they are mint. They are an aircraft grade part so you know that they tough. They are a shade on the expensive side but you get what you pay for. The tolerences are so tight that you can't even move the ball with your hand, you need to stick a screwdriver or something through it to have enough leverage to move it. I have checked them after a couple years of daily summer driving and they were still tight too. Also' DON'T buy ones with grease nipples on them because it makes the bodies signifigantly weaker.Hope this helps a little.

I agree with maz duh i have driven on the same heim joints for a couple of years and they are still as tight as the day put them in. Drove my ride from Ontario Canada to Indiana this summer

I LIKE RUBICON JOINTS ALOT BETTER THEN HEIM JOINTS.

THEY TEND TO MOVE MORE AND CAN BE GREESED WHEN NEEDED.
