When I helped a friend do this about 7 years ago we just put ball valves on the hose above the cylinder. Filled the cylinder with oil all the way up, then used a hydraulic pump to pressurize the lines. Once the lines were full of oil we just closed the ball valve (could use a slow down too) disconnected it from the pump, reconnected it to the cylinder and all was well. I've only known 2 people who did this, both worked fine, but were a pain to maintain. You have 8 sets of seals to replace rather than only 4 and when the seal starts to go out you lose oil which means you lose lift. It's great for something that's mostly show, but I'd consider something else on a daily driver. Just my opinion, there may be other people who think otherwise.

i had that setup 3 years ago for about 10 months,it was a pain to fill. i used a trigger oil can 1 squirt at a time. you gotta wait for it to settle then squirt some more. i drove the car abott 25,000 miles a year so all the use would wear out the setup. had to take apart every few weeks to add oil, very little though maybe an ounce or so but still a pain in the ass to deal with

thanks for the input, you guys have kinda changed my mind about because it is a daily...but i sill want to go as low as i can and dont have the money for a whole hydro setup (poorcollegekid)because i got all my air stuff.i may save up a while and get the universal strut bags but there like189 a peace and dont get too low.....

i have an idea to help with the maintenance of the system as far as fluid loss is concerned. any feedback on why it would or would not work would be awesome. anyway, what if i were to put in an oil reservoir? i would plan on doing this by obtaining or fabricating an airtight tank with lines coming from the 4 cylinders in the trunk, and 4 lines out to the cylinders at the wheels. i also thought about having ball valves on each line so i can isolate the reservoir when im not using it(if there were no ball valves i would need 4 reservoirs, one for each wheel). i figure that by having an oil reservoir mounted higher than any of the other suspension components, i could relatively easy add fluid if needed. attached is a crappy drawing of my idea to hopefully help with my explaination.
