Someone keeps breaking in ...

Someone keeps breaking into my truck. I have a 97 fullsize Chevy, and somebody tried to get in once through the door handle by jimmying it open and messed my door up and broke my handle while I was at work. About two days ago, two weeks after I had it fixed, someone went in through the other door and broke the handle and this time they got my stereo. Is there anything that I can do to help prevent this in the future? I have heard that there are some kind of plates that you can put behind the handle to keep people from getting the whole way in. I have one of those two way alarms that pages me when it goes off, but it never went off that I know of. Do you think I could get out of my apartment lease by claiming that it is unsafe to live here, I know some other people here that have been broken in to as well. Anyways I just needed to get all of that off of my chest. I'll do the cursing offline.

you could always put a sick stereo in the truck and sit there with a shotgun and wait for the fucker to try to get into your truck.an alarm should help maybe turn up the sensitivity? especially if your in an apartment complex. most of them are pretty quiet and even if others dont notice/car ur alarm is going off atleast u notice

Go and give the person that installed the alarm a beating..... Then get them to wire up 2 internal cabin sirens, just because no-one listens to car alarms doesn't mean that you can't deafen the little @#$%ers that are breaking into it

Harbor freight might be cheap,to where you start thinking if it sucks ass,but real good products

home depot has better ones for 50 that are color and have night vision with leds so the whole room would stay dark but you would still be able to see.

dude if i were you i would get a air horn kit or train horn kit. turn up the sensitivity on your alarm and when that bitch goes off nobody is gonna ignore that, i garrantee it, those suckers are loud no thief in their right mind would risk fuckin with it after they hear it goin off, look into it
