Someone keeps breaking in ...

Be carefull with the camera. My friend did this and on the third morning there was an eviction notice on his door. Their is usually some policy in the contract about cameras. Oh yeah, when he was evicted he lost his deposit and their was no way to get it back. Just giving you the heads up, maybe you should try to put a train horn inside the cab with a short delay. But, then again, you might have a pile of shit left in your truck...LOL

here's what i would do...

do you have a laptop/pc that is decent?

wireless internet router?


you can buy a nice little wireless (802.11g) webcam, with night vision in it..set it to auto sense, and wa-la...

if the camera senses movement, it starts recording, and stops 1 minute after the movement is done, so then you set it up to point at your truck from your apartment, or you set it in IN your truck, because if they steal it, you've got the proof right there in your computer.


but, honestly, sounds like they got what they wanted, i bet they'll be done for a bit.

I like the idea with the sirens inside the truck, that would slow em down. Something similar happened to my truck when I lived in an apartment. Two nights in a row my alarm went off about the same time. The first night I just shut it off and looked out the window to make sure no-one was around it. The second night I got the gun and went outside and walked around my truck and around the building. After that it never went off again. Guess they thought I was crazzy walking around in shorts with a 20 gauge pump in 30 degree weather.

i was in your situation. all i did was stay up and watch it took some time(weeks). someone kept robbing cars outside in my parking lot and i was determined to catch him since it happend like 4 times. finally i got lucky. was up late online heard a noise look out my window sure enough i seen someone tryn to get in the cars. ran down stairs chased his car(he drove up my fn driveway and parked behind my neighbors motorhome, he \msuta heard me coming cuz he was in his car by time i got down there) turns out when i caught him i knew the scumbag mid swing with a bat with spikes he says my last name. now hes in jail for 5-11 years for multiple thefts.jus watch thats all i can say people are dumb they will come back.

Well, I just went ahead and had my doors shaved to help alleviatye the situation. Hopefully now it will still be out htere every morning after work and at home. I appreciate all of the ideas yall threw out there for me.

leave your truck open, windows down, unlocked, and music up enough to be heard.

then, wait for the fucker to try again and bring a bat to remind him what not to do.

also, shave your doors and get an alarm that works.

my friend shaved his door handles now they just bust the windows lol
