we had a prob. like that a month or so ago. It was the coolant temp. sensor, It was unhooked and it wouldn't let it run right and would take forever to get it started, Check it out what do you have to lose??
Just a question good luck on it..

aftermine was bd'ed my security light came on. the security/alarm wouldnt let the truck start. i have shaved handles so i disconnect the power locks and that caused my security system to go crazy. i ended up pulling the fuse for the PATS system and something else in the engine bay fuse panel. check ur owners manual and i think it is the alarm. after that the truck fired right up. mine didnt even turn over at first. it did nothing. it is almost like i locked the doors and armed the system before i did the bd, and after it was done the truck was expecting to be unarmed, but it wasnt b/c the poppers, so the alarm was engaged so the truck wouldnt start. good luck.
