If you do let me know how much you'd let it go for, that'd be awesome. thanks man

Thanks Mike and everyone else too, if he doesn't have one I'll try doing it myself.. any tips for flaring, I just never had the need to mess with that lol.

just TAKE YOUR TIME when you do a flare. if you dont you will split the line and have to cut it again and try the flare again.

is it ok to bend the line back by hand? just do my best to match it back up? if end up buying the tool.. you guys have any preference in brand, double flaring tool right?

Edit - I just called Carquest, Autzone, O'Reillys and NAPA.. they only sell straight lengths, and Oreillys said they only have a single flaring tool.. might try a junkyard.

i bought my double flareing tool from pep boys.

part stores only sell straight lengths of hardline.

its easy to bend by hand. just be careful not to kink. dont get overzelous thats all.

as for flaring, theres instructions on the back of the package. make sure your cut is straight and burr-free. i usually put the clamping part of the tool in a vise. and just take your time.

honestly, brakelines are cake to make. if you can lay badass weld beads (like i know you can) then bending up a brakeline should be nothing.

My neighbor brought me a flaring kit, but its standard.. Im gonna borrow one of my parents rides to go buy a metric kit sometime today. Do you guys happen to know if I could use the metric kit on any common fuel hardline extending as well? thanks for the help!

go to auto zone kragen pepboys etc and ask for a metric brake line the length that you want they always have brake line it beats buying a flaring tool and the line will only be about 3 dollars

I agree strongly. I kept one of those little short lines in my truck and I blew a line on the way to the ST show in 02. I put it on and down the road I went. Make sure the line you buy is a little longer than stock and you should be good to go.

like these guys said just goto any chain parts store (besides napa they dont sell metric) and get a str8 piece and take it home and bend it up like you want, as long as your arent makin sharp bends you can do it with your hands.
