Sup builders. Not sure if you knew this or not but BASF is the one who invented House of Kolor paint, no shit! So Carizzma introduced this Candy line finally and it really kicks some butt. The candy itself is in the color and doesn't need to be mixxed into the clear like HOK which makes it fast to do and easier to do, you know that? Also, we sponsor Overhaulin' on TLC and all those trucks, cars, and what not uses our stuff. Chip Foose loves the stuff and we don't need to pay him to use our stuff like Dupont just did..hahahaha. Quality speaks for itself and that is what BASF is all about. We are factory on Maybach, every Saleen Mustang ever built, and the list goes on. Peep out our online color book at www.carizzmacolors.com, we have some hot shit! Also, if you want to find a body shop near you, we have a locator for that. We really have awesome reps that are all about giving you onsite tech help to make sure you get the job done right. I'm here to help any one of you with anything so let me know if you need any help with anything or questions. I'm a builder to you know, so I know the BS we go through at times with companies and people.

how is the candy in the base? i thought candys were transparent? will some one clear this up? Now this BASF yahoo has me confused.

got to go with kosmoski on inventing hok and a candy is the transparent color over a base color so basically all you have is some clean colors which isn't all that hard to do. less toners in a mix equals cleaner colors just my two cents mister basf

BASFCarizzma, guess again. The others are correct about Jon Kozmoski. HE was the sole inventer of HOK, way back in the 70's, hence the "K" for the spelling! I use "some" BASF in my shop, but not exclusively. Its good stuff, but I still prefer HOK. The colors are cleaner and there are MANY more colors available. The Carizzma line of 8 colors compared to HOKs, I believe 15! If your trying to "sell" your products, at least be wise and let it sell itself, don't make crap up, that makes it NOT sell!!

Also, you mentioned not needing to be mixed in clear like HOK. HOK has Kandy bases AND Kandy Koncentrates. Meaning, 1 is mixed with clear and 1 is NOT! The straight stuff is reduced and hardened, and dries faster. The Koncentrates become whatever your choice of clear is, drying time wise. If your gonna post on a forum where theres a wide range of people doing ALL the different stages of building, you need to know what your talking about... Have a nice day.
