Doing painting myself...need some advice.

I'm only wanting one color, black. But I don't know...can't really see myself spending $3,000 for a paint job. Can't work up that kind of money.

then wait till you can, and in the mean time, pick up a couple random panels from the wrecker and start learning to spray if that what you want to do.

i would only use maaco if i was selling the car immediately afterwards and i would prep and tape the car myself. i use to work at maaco and they would get on me if i took the time to tape up stuff nice and sand it like it should be.

singal stage is great if you not going to cut and buff it.when you cut and buff it you sand of the uv protect that comes up to the top during the cure stage and it will not last in sun after that.i only use it for covering it works great with one coat of clear over it
