I just got done shootin the primer on my bed, whats the best grit of sandpaper to use?

What are you doing? If your putting down a base and thats your final prime, hit it with 600. If your just cutting it to smooth out for another build coat, use 240-320.

block it w/ 180 till u see the underneath startin to show through then reprime the sand it w/ some 320 to get it slick(no texture im assumin ur usin urethane primer...) then ready to seal, base and clear!

if it's not goin to stay in primer for very long do i have to seal it or can i just sand it wit 320 and then shoot the base? and if i don't seal it should i go to like 600 grit and even wetsand it?

im not a huge "body" guy but if your not gonna run primer for long 600 seems to be to uhmmm perfectionist for a short period of time,,because you will have to re-do it again b4 final prep to paint,,
i could be wrong to some peoples view but seems, to ecentric for a few months or less

sounds like you should sand with 320 to find the small imperfections and then prime again, then sand with 600 to find more imperfections which you will, then prime again.

so when it's all said and done and ready for paint sand up to 600? I've sanded up to 320 right now and i'm ready to reprime again i think this should be my last reprime or atleast i hope if all goes well

i always hit it with 180 before a reprime then wetsand it with 400 wet to get all the texture out then go over it again real quick with 800wet before basecoat. hope this helps bro. L8

well i just depends on teh quality you want the smotther you get it the nicer and smoother the finished product will look.. i usually spray it with a few real good coats.. throw some gide coat onit and black it with a long board with 220 dry to make sure every thing is kocked down and straight.. (then reprime if needed) then i gide coat it again and hit it light with 400wet on a 4-9" in block just enough to really get the gide coat and the 220 scraches out... then hit it with i 600 wet on a hard or soft block.. i like to swirl it with a soft block... OR if yoru just looking for you basic body shop quality ..hit it with 320 and then 600 and seal it and base and clear..
