I'm looking to install leds and graft them into the bodywork on my astro.Where are the best ones from?silverstar perhaps?I take it you weld the bucket in and install the light and use filler to smoothe everything out.I know you have to clear over the lights,I take it you must keep the base coat off of them, but how do you get rid of the ridge?.I wont be painting it my buddy will ,I just want to know the proper technique, and I am paint helpless.

I GOT MY 15 1/2 INCH LEDS FROM CANDO IN CALI. THE LENSE ARE 1/4 INCH THICK SO YOU CAN BLOCK THEM DOWN AND EASILY MOLD THEM IN AND CLEAR OVER THEM.

silverstar customs in Mississippi are the same way and easy to wire up

i always use LEDs from HiTech, never had any problems. You have to epoxy the lense in, then attach the bucket to the backside. They all come with 3 wires for high and low, no need for adaptors or converters hidden somewhere. You dont necc have to keep the base off them, you can tape them off, spray the base, then the final coats, cover em with some thin color, theyll blend right into the paint. Bury it in clear and some wetsanding will take off the 'ridge'.

mine came from bob grant. there about 3/8 inch thick. plus they are double led's so they are plenty bright enough.

Never heard of AVS but if they're as good as HiTech's your in good shape. Bob uses HiTech's because you can sand them flush with the combo. They're very bright too!
