K20 swap

Hey I am new to the whole Honda engine codes so if someone would tell me what the K20 is out of and if it is worth building it would be a huge help.. I am gonna put it in a 89 Civic Hatchback.. I was gonna go with a B18c or H22 but it is pricey and huge.. SO someone told me to check out the K20..Any help would be good right now cause i need to get rid if this gutless 1.5 and give this car some balls..Thanks for any help and dont give me shit for this please... thanks guys

rsx,rsx-s,or japan integra(usa rsx) which 1???the plain k20 is a japan ITR(very rare and expensive),the k20a2 is a rsx type-s and the k20a1 is the shity (Fake)Ivtec in the si and stock base rsx,the k20a1 doesn't have three lobes per cyclinder like the a2 or like a b18c1,5,b16,it has two lobes per cylinder on the intake and only 1 on the exhaust ,I.e. I-Vtec=Intake side only vtec,and forget about cam gears on the I-Vtec's,lol

and you'd prolly be good goining with a b18,cause k20 cost alot more than a b18.

which will I get the most power out of when fully built?? I want the most power and torque..

Another engine to look into would be the B16A. My cousins fiancee has one in his 88 hatch and that thing barely fits within his inner fenderwells and it hausl pretty good. SO whatever you do go with, make sure it will fit, because that car does have a fairly small engine bay.

my advice to you would be to go to a honda forum and you will probably find wayyyyy more info, theres not much racing going on here.

i'm not going to be racing really but I like to have cars that actually have some balls to them and I couldnt turn this one down since my buddy gave it too me.

well i didnt mean that you were going to be or not but they will know muchhhh more about it. cuz they race and they use those different swaps etc.

?!?! I have a swaped motor. Plus I like SSM way more than H-T. The K20 would be nice for the wow value but you can get a much cheaper motor and produce nice numbers.

Unless you feel the need to spend a ton of money don't get the K20 motors.
