That's not true. If I welded a 5 inch bar onto your axle and tried to lift your truck, it wouldn't move much. If I welded a 20 foot bar onto your axle from the same spot, I might have a chance.

say what? once again, youre trying to refer to LEVERAGE and that has nothing to do with bags mounted anywhere on the axle itself. you can mount the bag on top of the axle or 5' behind the axle, it will still ride the same and get the same amount of lift (as long as there was no deflection in the mount.) youre not adding leverage or changing anything because theres no fulcrum to multiply force.

sure if i attached a 20' beam to the axle, i might be able to lift up the TRUCK. but that makes the front wheels the FULCRUM in the equation. none of that is happening in a linked setup.

That's true...my bad. I was visualizing a 2 link with the bags mounted on the link behind the axle. Can you ever find a place in your heart to forgive me?

I was wondering the same thing. I want to run sleeve bags and was wondering if it would ride better behind or over the axle. I will probably just go over the axle.
