theres a bolt spacer on one of the bolts forget which. be sure you take picture before removing the compressor so you can see how it goes. and be sure to get all the mounting hardware.

I know this is a old thread
But really curious if there anyone still around that has done this
How long are these lasting?
How often do they need to be broke down and regreased?

The ones I did never lasted as long as I'd hope. But I never did maintenance on em and used em hard. I plan on putting a zerk fitting to grease it externally on the next one I do. And I plan on trying to get a new one. I know a few people that have had em for over a year with no issues. they pump fast as crap! I used the 5 piston version, but next time I am getting the 7 piston one. I don't remember the model number

Well, I just bought one from another member, said compressor has less then 100 miles on it
Curious to know how often it needs to be "maintenanced"
I wanna put a zerk fitting in if possible
Make it easier to keep up
May need you to explain how and where to do that

can these ac compressors be used as a air compressor with out doing all that? maybe using a oiler on the intake and a dryer/oil remover on the output, would this work also? or is there still something else you need to do to make it work?

I've been running my compressor for about 2 years and its still going strong. I used a green and tacky grease from autozone in it. There's a plug on the side of the compressor so you could remove that to add more grease. It might be messier than the zerk fitting.

im looking to get a compressor converted. Its coming out of a mazda but considering to use it on a 50s cad im currently bagging. I would like to know if this idea would work? And if anyone is willing to convert the compressor for me and the price tag to convert for me?
