ok.. sorry to post again with this shit...but i just had a few questions and i need some opinions.. well... ive got my air cylenders in and ready.. and i think im gona run a 5 gal tank with a 450-460 viair compressor at like 150psi or so... now i originally wanted to run the 4 3-way (3/8in)valves but i was also thinking about running 8 1/2inch valves... at that psi and with those valves what kind of "switching" and motions can i expect (like how much will i be able to play with the switches and for how long)... i mean there is nobody around my area that has an airride car so i was just wondering wich would be better and how my car is gona respond and stuff.. thanks guys...

You can probably expect about 4-5 hits for the front or maybe 7-8 in the back. I wouldn't recommend using 1/2 inch valves for the back. It will be violently fast and you won't be able to adjust it while driving.

id go with 8 3/8 valves and 150 psi is fine you will get alot of play time with that on cylnders

thanks for the replys guys... as far as the 3/8in valves go... i would reeealy like to get the 4 3-way valves.. but i have heard they are as relaible... do you guys know any places to get those? ( the only place i know is on aimind.com) thanks again...

one other quick question.... say if i had a 5 gal. air tank with 3 ports compared to like a 5 gal tank with say... 9 ports.. would using more ports for the valves instead of "T" ing off the other ports have much of an effect on the valves speed and stuff? thanks again..

Well if it was me I would go with either 1/2" valves all the way around and run slow downs on the rear so you can set how fast it comes up or just go all 3/8". 3/8" is still pretty fast. As for the tank get a 5gal 9 port tank and mount your valves on the tank. Dont T off the other ports for your valves.. Hit me up and ill save ya alot of cash for your parts.

thanks for the reply man... (i like your web site too) im kinda new at this stuff.. but say if i were to do the 8 valve FBSS setup.. could i just mount the 4 fill valves to the tank and then "T" off each fill line from the valve and run a dump valve off the fill line right? so basicly i would have 4 valves on the tank to fill the bags and a valve off each of those lines to dump them right? thanks again guys...

Mounting the fill valves on the tank would work fine. The dumps can be anywhere in the line. Putting the valves in the trunk with the tank will make it lift slower in the front and make less play time because it takes a lot more air to fill. But I recommend it that way because the ride is ten times better.
If you are worried about ride more than quickness I also recommend getting two 1/4 gallon tanks and putting them between the rear cylinders and the fill valve as accumulators. It will keep the back from flying up every time you hit a bump. (I also use 1/4 inch line between the accumulators and the cylinders

You can mount all 8 of your valves right on the tank.
