i see no point but a horrible ride and way more stuff to go wrong, i'll just keep my body bolted to the frame, and if i need to turn i'll just air the front up, instead of jackin my body up.

how would it ride bad... he can ride and turn with hsi suspension at the best riding pressures possible yet air his body up to turn... so considering ur body is normally mounted pretty solid with it lifted it will be similar to that same solid feeling... so all in all will actually be better to dive like that... ha hope ya understand

what happends when he slams on his brakes or accelerates? what happens when he turns? what happens when he goes over a long bridge? and depending on how the cylinders are mounted to the body and the frame, there might be no vibration isolation between the frame and the body like if the body was bolted to the frame. how does the front clip stay aligned? what about the body flexing? there are so many questions i doubt he has thought about.

... you guys that are dissin this and sayin he hasn't thought it all out... what the?? i don't think he would have gone into it without fully thinking ahead. the cylinders (i think) would still be bushed to the frame, allowing for the dampening of any virations (would only occur at full lift or full drop)
and alignment of the front clip??? huh? anything that is attatched to the body and frame would have to have longer lines, which is east enough, but most things i am sure would be attatched to one or the other. i think it is awesome, and would love to see it maybe after 1000 miles under the belt.

PROPS, and congrats on the new job!!!

I thought about this 5 yrs ago but useing air bags out of a semi cab, But got so much shit from my buddys that I never atemped it so run with it I think its a great idea. I semi's have been able to do this for years with bags why wouldn't work with cyliners

lol. its funny how many people hate on new things. its cool tho.

if i get a stiff ride, i can isolate the cylinders between the body and frame with rubber as thick as i want.

but yea thanks guys. working at suicidedoors.com is pretty sweet.

im not hating, just taking the idea and thinking of ways that it wont work properly. i guarantee you it will not be safe enough to drive alot.

couldn't be any more dangerous than having a fitting blow on the freeway

i say fuck yeah, alot of guys thought the big wheel craze would slow down minitruckin once people started putting 22's on s-10's and nissans, now we've got guys doing adjustable bodydrops

you tell a minitrucker he can't do something, and he'll figure out some way to get it done, that's why i love this lifestyle, something new is always happening in somebody's garage that's never been done before

For show, yeah its great, nice way to show off frame work. But as for driving...I will never see a mod like that as safe, no matter what I am told.I untuck my 20s by 3/4'', I would rather re work the suspension to get more lift.

That's funny cause almost every hot rodder, i've ever met, said that same thing about airbags, 8 years ago.

I personally like the idea, mainly cause it's different, and it took alot of time and effort to plan it out. Good luck, can't wait to see more progress pix.
