Has anyone ever had a bag replaced by Slam Specialties under "warranty"?

I have the HS-72's and now they have different model designation's?

I'm wondering if anyone knows what exactly the warranty coverage was/is on the HS series?

Both of my front bags are having issues, one has tons of small cracks in the rubber that looks like dry-rot (which are so severe it makes me feel unsafe riding on it, no air loss though?) the second has less cracks only a few but, it developed a bulge/blister and is leaking air from the bulge (which also make me feel unsafe to ride it).

Both bags are about 1 1/2 years old, purchased @ $160 ea.

Any help would be appreciated

If I'm just out of luck and have to buy new bags what do you think, should I go with the new 400 psi Slam model or go with Conti-tech's??????

mine have had dryrot cracks for 3 years and never had a problem, the new bags are supposed to be of a new material to resist dryrot. never tried to warranty though.

mine have been dryrotting since 2 weeks after I got them...I have tried over and over to get the problem taken care of...their customer service sucks.....but then again they are still the best bag out there...So I guess I'll just continue to bend over and take it

I had some bags that were doing the same thing and just called NICK over at Slam and he replaced mine in no time.Just had to send them back to him and he send me a whole brand new set out. And yes the older bags they do have problems with them . The rubber compound is shit so they redone them and have not had a single problem with them since.

the older bags were cracking, but no harm, just the outer layer, but the blister thing, dont know about that..... as far as a warranty even though they are 1 1/2 years old, not sure on that one either, guess you could call slam specialties up and check with them..... the new slam bags are kick ass though www.gravity-werx.com

I had two HS-62s that I couldn't get to seal at the fitting (actually it was around the bung in the bad itself) no matter how hard I tried. I ended up burning up a compressor just keeping it at ride height for a few weeks. I was put in touch with Nick at Slam Specialties, and told him my problem. He asked for my mailing address and soon after I had a new set of HS-62s on my doorstep and he didn't even ask for the old ones back... AWESOME customer service and I'll never use another brand of bags again.

Just wanted to let folks know I spoke with Nick at Slam Specialties. I'm really impressed with Slam Specialties customer service! It goes a long way towards keeping customers for life. Good Job Slam Specialties!

The new slam bags WILL NOT have this same problem...but Slam does have good customer service....they lowered their pricing and make a better bag now...cant go wrong.
