whell i had a bit of a setback today , i whent to look for the rearaxle and the front suspension today thinking i pay some cash up front to make sure he held on to it for me .
the axle is the wide version and the front suspension came out of a dodge , could've saved me the trouble of driving there .
he did gave me another lead , some guy selling old army material , seems the old radar/radiotrucks made for the amerikan army have the rearaxle i need , i'm tempted to buy the a arms springs spindle hub calipers and other materials for the frontsuspension in the states when im there on holliday (thats the plan at least) and take the stuff back in a BIG suitcase

Pack a big suitcase with some extra reinforcement.

The damn roadtax situation sounds like it blows bigtime. The man is always in your pocket.

whell time for a little update after finding out about how to make a c&c rearaxle i whent out and got me a front axle and rearaxle out of a single wheel C30 the rearaxle is taken apart and has a verry small ratio 3.65 i thought it was and a locking diff.
i need other truck wheel / dually hubs all around to make the smaller original truckwheels fit but im getting there .
i'm toying with the idea to have custom 10 bolt hubs made for the c30 axles on wish the truck rims will bolt straight up and center .
see noone in the netherlands who has a dually rearaxle from a wreck wants to take them apart , so i need to buy another set of axles complete just for the hubs and they go for 700 euro a piece (a bit steep ) after that i need adapters wish are 850 out of the top of my head or so , then i need to have them imported and delivered in the netherlands for another 200 makes 1750 euro (here we go again )
i found a foundry in holland that will make small series castings and asked for a price today .
prolly will hear sumtin after monday i hope
the plan is to turn a hub from resin on a lathe and testfit it on the actual axle so im sure the wheel will fit inside the whells , the diskbrake will mount ontoo the back , the brakecalipers still centers etc etc , then deliver the plastic hubs to the foundry and have them make metalcasts from them .
i have to wait for prices if there low enough i might have them make small series and sell them on ebay or to clock if he wants them .
all you would need then is a single wheel C30 pickup and truckwheels in the size you want ,and maybe a set of bearings seals and other small stuff for mounting the hubs on the stock axles if i dont assemble them in before selling them

a little update i got the tools and welder in the alcoa truck rims i found , i got new original one ton fronthubdiskrotors for truckwheels , and believe it or not found another rearaxle out of a chassis cab/ army ambulance thats missing some parts that came with the first axle .
the stainless bolts are in the mail , and im looking intoo the airbag stuff the front is pretty mush sorted on wat i want to do with it .
the rear will need some looking intoo .
im thinking on running long bars under the axle like on the earlier chevy trucks with coilsprings and mount the bag after the axle on the end of the bar between the rail , to controll the side to side im thinking of a triangle on top of the diff going straight forwarth to both framerail , should be enough for just front to back action .
as soon as the bags are sorted and delivered i can start on tassembling the rolling chassis and play with the airstuff

i like to convert the rearaxle to diskbrakes too
the usual thing to do is get frontwheel rotors and calipers from a 4 wheel drive 1 ton and make some brackets , but i like to have an emergencybrake too so i might use other calipers or a different setup alltogether , anyone any idea's on wat would work on the freaking big 8 lug axle
