it all depeneds on how you want it to look when your done the tig will look a lot better it you know how to do it but it you can mig good it will look good to one other thing if you tig it make sure the metal is as clean as you can get it if there is any light rust or any thing thats not clean it will pop and look like shit and have little pin holes all over it!!!!!!!!!!!

The cool thing about TIG is that it almost forces you to build it right. It will make you ensure everything fits right, and the metal is really clean. It takes more time, but it is worth it.

I'm with bagged85, flux core sucks, we call it farmer wire. It's not really much that much more to setup a MIG to run with gas anyways because the fluxcore wire is more expensive to buy. A bottle of gas and a roll of unshielded wire probably works out to be a little more but not much.

They are both very strong.Tig is nicer cleaner smaller weld which is bitchen when building suspension components. The advantages is its a colder weld in that the ehat dispursed to the metal doesnt neccesarily spread that far. So for example when u see most metal prducts or anything for that matter break it usually happens right after the weld not directly down the center.thats when someone heats up the emtal to much which happens a lot in mig welding. If it breaks down the middle of it then ur just not meant to be welding,to much porousity(no gas)....but for what we use are trucks for show and drive on a flat road..mig will do just fine
