Check out my profile....the pics are not 100% detailed but you can get the idea.I used 2x2x3/16 and some thick walled tube. Some leaf spring bushings and a huge grade 8 bolt.

There used to lift it on an occasion to fix something or just for access. But if you're that worried about them brakeing buy more. They're weight rated on the package and thats like saying you can only put 150psi in a tank. Yeah my ass. You guys like to fuckin gripe to much. And it's not your ride so don't worry about it.

all these pics are great but how does the other end latch?? you have to have some sort of latch don't you??

Yes mine latches securely, But since I am an assclone for building beefy hinges that let the bed go 90 degrees while layed out and not hit the ground or the cab. I do not want to get ripped for having an automatic latching system so I can run it from inside the cab...

do me a favor and please do not use dinky cheap hinges like that, take the time and get some beefy ones: but its your bed, you risk it if u wanna....
you should listen to this guy..he has a lowrider bike for a profile picture...i think hes 16..

hey, im only 17 but i know a quite a bit of stuff about cars, just because im a kid gives u no right to single me out so u might wanna check my profile again i also have a Bronco 2 that i havent even bagan to start because im not making enought money to do it my self and i dont want mommy and daddy supporting me...
