from what i know you can have your mirrors shaved if you have no tint on your truck. and still retain the rearview mirror

See, thats exactly how i feel about it but the Texas law doesn't really say much about this. So I don't know. I was just concerned if people get harrassed with shaved side mirrors

thanks ken, will get some pics of the finish product soon. both sides came out pretty good. did a different mounting base for them... i can really use the driverside one too for everyday use.

Just to let everyone know in the state of florida u can shave ur mirros as long as U have a rearview. Fought the ticket in court and won. Dont member the statue number but its in the either out side mirros and now rearview or no out side mirros and a rear view. If a cop trys to write u a ticket tell Him u want to see some numbers before he wastes ur and his time goin to court. Later

I will have to get the book out but I believe in TX, you have to have both side mirrors if your tint is really dark and just the rearview if you have clear. I will try and post the correct laws later today.

well the law is that you either need a rearview mirror or side mirrors its not the law to have both . but you know how the cops are. they just right it up as defective equipment and most people just pay. just like the roll pan crap alot of people get tickets for. all ya have to do is tell the cop hey it a hidden bumber and its made of steel the new cars are plastic and have metal behind the cover so thats what i say i have a piece of steel behind it and a steel roll pan.. tell the cop that you are going to fight the ticket and you are going to subeona him because you told him its not illeagal and he wrote a ticket anyway. and when i say that i know the law and he is wrong most of the time he comes back with a warning or says well im looking into it and if your wrong next time i stop ya your gettin the same ticket..lol..never got stopped by him again.

i know technically in north carolina you have to have two. whether no inside and both out side or one and one.
