Importance of Jack Stands

Today my buddy Pat Munford was workin on his bagged c 10, when all of a sudden, he must of pinched a line or somethign while he was under there and the truck laid out on him. He's in the hospital right now. He had to be lifeflighted there. He was just lucky enough that myself and another buddy were there to shove a jack under his door and lift the damnn truck off of him. So back to my point, even if your truck is aired up like regular, put jack stands under it just in case!

That is good advice. Been alot of people killed the last few years from vehicles falling on them.

dude, sorry to hear about your friend.Jack stands are a must, anytime you go under a vehicle for anything. I lost a good friend of the family a few years back on a similar incident where he got pinned under his drag cars wheelie bars when the jack fell out.
Please guys be carefull and if you are out in the garage by yourself, please let someone know to check on you every once and a while. I know we arent babies and all that but shit happens and no one really loves this hobby more than life itself

sorry to hear that man... hope your friend is gunna be ok... i went through something similiar to that in 1992... spent about 3 months in the hosptial i learned the hard way .. if this message gets across to just one person it could save your life... JACK STANDS are awesome

I just got off the phone with him. He got super lucky on this one. About to leave the hospital with a bunch of bruises and a pretty busted up face. He busted a bunch of nerve endings around his head and face, but the swelling is slowly going down. I dont think he'll get under the truck without jackstands again.

How many times does this have to happen?? I dont think we need any more people dying from a simple thing as taking the time to put a jack stand underneath.
