it is true that a stock 4.7 will out run a stock 360 in a 1/4mile, and you can get as much or more out of the 4.7 with after market parts, but the cost is more. if you want to look into after market parts for the 4.7, check out http://www.socaldakota.com

"I dont think you know what motors your talking about. The 5.9, 5.2, 3.9 are all based on the same block, the 4.7 is completely differen, and the 5.7 is the new hemi."

I totally forgot about the new hemi's.
I was talking about the dakota5.9 engine. I didnt know that it was hemi, becuase there a couple years old, Like i said i no nothing about those engine i just found a site that said the dakota 5.9 wasnt that powerful compared to the dakota sports.

The 4.7L is Mecedes motor and a good one at that! The only difference between a R/T and not is the computer, its still the same 5.9L. Parts for the 4.7L are alot higher than those for the 5.9L. But a good choice either way!!

The 5.7L is the only HEMI, there is NO 5.9L HEMI!

Why does he think he needs the 5.9 engine. I had a 2002 4.7 in a regular cab truck and a buddy of mine had a 2001 R/T. We took them to the track and I beat him every time. Yes the R/T has more torque but it never could beat me in the 1/4 mile.

Damn Jimmy, if I knew you wanted a 4.7 I would have hooked you up, I traded mine for 3 racing go karts.
