oh i see, so your telling us that Motor Trend, one of the oldest automotive magazines still being published and one of the biggest highly respected automotive enthusiast groups is lying about the r/t having viper parts under the frontend? Yeah okay that totally makes sense

Dodge Dakota R/T Review

The only thing it might have from the Viper is the close ratio steering box, which is probably on other vehciles in the Dodge line up as well. Possibly a bushing or two also.

Also, dont believe everything you read in magazines or some of the numbers that they claim either, for any vehicle. They arent all mighty and all knowing like you might think.

stick with the 4.7 its a bit bor hp and torque than the 5.9 and from i think 03 and up there is a high output 4.7 which has just a little less horse than the 5.7 hemi. it has different heads and computer

well i just talked to em an was tellin em all the shit you guys are tellin me bout the 4.7 he has being better, an i guess he already knew that but he said the reason he wants that 5.9 is cause he's got a TON of shit sitting in his garage waiting to be put into that 5.9, not sure why youd buy for something else but guess he's been planning this for a while

but now you guys got me wanting to do the 4.7 in my dakota

i found a yard over here with the 4.7, engine, tranny, ALL the components , everything pretty much, an he wants 11 hun for it, sounded pretty good to me, what do you guys think
