This is the first time I've heard anything bad about AZ, but this is the usual deal w/ newer companys. When they first start off their product(s) sometimes malfunction. Then after a while they start working out imperfections and testing there shit better. E air valves had the same type of problem there 3/8" valves were f-ed up, and had to basically be recalled. But now they have some better working/looking valves. You just have to give the newer companys time to work out problems with there product(s). IM sure they will replace your old AZ with a new one. Your actually the first person I heard of having problems with them so im not sure what to tell you besides try contacting the company.

On another note, I have never had any problems with my Viair 450's and they have lasted through 3 winters now.

do you want me to walk over to their place at smack em around for ya. cus they are two blocks from my house.. lol....

.... its a lil thing called defects. it happens... even the best companies in the world may run into a small problem..
