hummm im about to get 2 of them bad boys, now im having second thoughts about that! hey would i need a another battery if a run 2 since they draw alot of amps?

ya the leader hoses are still breaking off of viairs.

but more on topic, 0 gauge is just ridiculous, it doesnt need any more than 8ga and it draws maybe 40amps, no need to get crazy with that.

just curious as to why you didnt get a viair in the first place. i've had a 450 since july of 02, not one problem yet besides having to tighten it down every 6 months or so.

i heard that they have problems with their check valve rusting out and blocking the passage to the tank, and a lot have crapped out that way. check into that.

ya I have a 450 viair and the check valve got stuck so it would pump and run but it would never put air in the tank so I jurked that pice of crap leader hose of and put a 1/2" check vave and a 1/2" hose in to it and it actualy pumps a little bit faster.

on the subject of your immobility...

Install a schrader valve inline in your system before the valves, you can either use your home compressor with an air valve to lift the truck, or invest in a portable air bottle with the tire chuck mounted on a leader, you can fill it at the gas station and then use it to lift your truck.

Just a suggestion. I had a truck the compressor took a crap in and I was able to drive it for almost a month using an air bottle and just stopping on the way home to fill it up.
