I used it about 5-6 years ago to shave the doors on my old Honda Accord never cracked out and the holes didn't show looked just like they had been welded

A guy here has has tailgate done with that stuff. It expands and contracts at a different rate then metal does. When the light hits his gate a certain way you can see a perfect outline of the handle. Weld it.

Exactly thats what i was saying up there illblazer. That is why i cut the lip out of anything i shave, weld in a flush plate tacking till its solid, once it is ground smooth it is like there was never a hole at all. The panel bond method is not the way to go.........

also panel bond works only when pressure is applyed IE clamped/screwd. there is definatly no other way better than welding, but its still teh shit i love that stuff!

i have seen all kinds of ways to shave handels. dura glass, bondo, pannel bond.liquid nails.yea liquid nails but the only way to do it is weld it

Ive used fuzor & panel bond a decent bit in a bodyshop ...the stuff is tough....only time ive ever used it to shave anything though was to shave like minimum 60 holes in the roof skin of a suburban .... i think it was about the only way to go considering how much welding it would have taken to weld all those holes and warping a huge ass roofskin like that would suck ass.

Its also not bad for using in conjunction with plug welding when sheetmetaling a bed ...know a few shops that use it for that purpose also

Yeah the 3M shit works, but the problem with it is that it shrinks like a mother,so sometimes the handle can show up after paint...

i dont think its really a question of the quality, it may last forever. but that halfassedness will always be looming overhead. and is halfassedness a word? lol
