i juss got a set of tubular control arms for my truck from byc... does anyone kno what else i need to do the lay the 22's in the front? and should i bolt the bags directly to the cntl arms or leave the spring bucket thing that u use for the stock arms?? any and all input will be appreciated.
Youll need drop spindles too. I would imagine just bolt them to the arms your arms will go up quite a bit more and Im sure the bag will bottom out before the frame if you use the lower cup.
on my truck, the tie rod notch is about 1/2" on the inside of the frame and goes to about 2 1/4" on the outside. runnin the slam re72 from www.gravity-werx.com
its dave from ekstensive the easiest way i found to lay a truk like urs on 22s is to notch the frame for the tie rods as earlier stated and pie cut the frame hammer the frame rails bak up then reweld that shiznit. gonna need about 120 psi on firestones
*tub firewall or just move it back a few inches (i actually just moved mine back with a portapower)
*tie rod notch
*notch frame for lower control arm (it will hit the frame before you lay out)
*notch lower control arm mount (the lower control arm will hit it before you lay out)
*notch upper control arm mount or the uppers themselves (the upper control arm will hit before you lay out)
*relocate the wiring harness connector on the driver side firewall
*modify or remove inner fenders
*relocate or remove coolant overflow tank
*relocate battery or battery mounts
*relocate or remove windshield washer fluid tank
*remove hood springs (will possibly hit)
*drop spindles (of course)
