are you able to start it and then it dies or after it died it wont start??

check your distributor, if it has a ground wire that runs from the cap to the body, make sure its grounded well. If not, that could be the problem that its killing the spark when it warms up. This problem happened to a buddy of mine on a small block, but its the same principal

does it have an idle cut off switch.....theres a possibillty that you might have one its usually on the side of the carb.if you dont hook it up it wont idle.

luke....it was running fine and then just instantly died ofter idiling about 20 min. then never started again

ARE YOU RUNNING STOCK MECHANICAL FUEL PUMP OR DID YOU SWITCH OVER TO ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP. MY BROTHER HAD SAME PROBLEM WITH HIS MAZDA WITH 2.2 SWAPPED OVER TO ELECTRIC TRUCK RUNS GREAT ALSO THE WIRE ON THE SIDE IS THE ELECTRIC CHOKE WHEN YOU GET TRUCK RUNNING AGAIN YOU NEED TO ADJUST THIS. ITS EASY JUST LOOSEN THE 3 SCREWS ON THE SIDE TURN IT UNTIL THE TOP BUTTER FLY ON THE CARB IS ABOUT 16TH OF AN INCH FROM BEING CLOSED THEN TIGHEN UP THE 3 SCREWS. MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO THIS WHEN THE TRUCK IS COLD. ALSO TO EASIST WAY TO CHECK IF YOUR GETTING FUEL IS LOOK DOWN THE CARB WITH A LIGHT AND PUMP THE THROTTLE , AND SEE IF YOU SEE GAS

make sure its tight to the adapter plate, friend had a truck and it came loose, and cause misc problems and just stoped running. use some loctite on it if so.

now im really fuckin stumped,but before i get into that yes i do have an electric fuel pump that is brand new and woring fine. now here is the kicker: i though it might be the timing on the truck but that aint it! thougt it could be coil problems that aint it either. the wierd part is that when i try to start it normally it doesnt do shit. when i pour gas into the carb it sort of half runs/sputters and then nothing. so its getting spark and getting gas it just want start. could i just be fuckin retarded

If you having a hard time to turn it over? Try putting a clean rag over the carb and have some one try to start it...As there starting it lift the rag just a bit, try it a couple of times...Some times the float or choke get stuck

Don't most work fine till they stop running? LOL I tell ya, just wiggle the carb and see if there is any slack between the carb and manifold.

fuck fuck fuck fuck this truck. i got the goddamn thing runnig out of the blue today. its idiling fine and running smooth but now its blowing oil out of the dipstick tube!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ive only seen this happen on one car before while i was at work the other day at jiffy lube and his oil pump was bad. could that be half my problem? it also smeels like gas is in the oil. when i was priming the carb to start it it kinda back fired and blew out this half gas half carbon looking shit through the carb! now all this shit started with the weber should i just take the goddamn thing off or have i fucked up something in the process? help please. oh and i saw on that other mazda guys post about gas in his oil. what was his problem
