new weber.....wont start.....what the @#$%

I know how frustrated you must be...same thing is happening to me but its the coil on my 88 bronco instead. Second new coil and still won't pump out any juice. If things don't get better i am going to pull both barrells with 3" high brass turkey loads with my side by side

What did the old fuel filter looks like when you took it out? Was it brown and full of crap? The stock paper filters suck I used to get all kinds of crap though it and into my float bowl.

I would bet $5 that if you take the air horn off you will probably find all kinds of crud in the float bowl. Carefully clean it all out, take the jets out and blow them out from the back side. Make sure the filter doesn't have crud in it again. If so I would drop the tank and clean it out which shouldn't be too hard if you lower it with a jack.

Get everything all cleaned out and I bet it will fire right up. If you still have a mechanical pump it may have to crank a few seconds before it has fuel in the carb though.
