cant wait for the pics, does it work good KAOSS?

well i got it all hooked up,and it didn't fucking work. I'm pissed. I do know why it doesn't work, the viair leader hose checkvalve won't open, so the air biuld up inside the compressor and pops a little valve on the back of the comp and the air escapes out of there instead of my tank. I'll have to move or get rid of the leader hose.FUCK!!!

i run stock ac on my isuzu, my buddy has a mazda and he showed me how.. all I can say is check your direction of flow if its the check valve...

I run an 800psi hydraulic check valve, and a campbell hausfield water trap, and oiler for any large compressors.. I took the back fitting off the compressor and modded it (cut the hose and went to the aluminum and compressed fittings on..)

wow, i feel dumb. look at my original pics, my viair leader hose is on backwards. i looked at ssd.com ad and all there compressors have the check at the opposite end of the compressor.

flipped the hose, It works great!

My check is at the firewall, maybe 2 ft of line to it..

the oil in say r-12 or 134a is the same as mineral oil you can buy at any grocery store and is what you should use so your seals dont rott.

The further you run the oil/water separator from the compressor the better it filters. Mine off my york is in the bed right on the tank. The air coming out is extremely hot and the filters work better with cooler air, just like in your shop you should run the filters as far away from the comp. as possible.

now that you mention that...i realize my check is like 2 ft after my trap and oiler which is 3ft from the comp.. but yeah.. Oh, and for anyone just getting these things going.

300+psi still kills your comp.. they dont run for long after you torture test them, so check your junkyards, mazda kids yours are cheap over here in the northwest. I go back a few years and get the 2.3 trooper. if you can find your motor on older models, granted the comp is older, but the value somehow miraculously drops.
