dumb questions

I Keep reading these post were people ask how to do something way out of there skill level. You know the ones. They start out saying they have never done any body work and they want to body drop there truck were do they start. I just think if you dont know the basics dont try something that is a 9 on a scale of 1 to 10 to your truck yet start on something that doesnt mater like your little bros radio flyer wagon or your folks mail box. You know put some dents in those and fix them then work your way up. If you cant weld or sand filler properly dont disgrace us who can by body droping your truck the first time you touch a welder. Im not saying dont try just start small then work your way up. Dont build a truck that you are going to be embarrassed of when you learn what your doing. Go bye some old rust bucket and try all your first on it. Just spend like 500 bucks on it then when your done take it to the junk yard and build your real ride. I hear all the time how big of hacks minitruckers are and i hate it. I am a minitrucker and I love that. I like to help people learn I just dont want them to build something that there going to go off and sell to some new guy thats wanted it because he doesnt have a welder and all the hard stuff is done. Then he is going to drive it a week then its going to set there when all the welds start breading. Just my two cents. Let me know what you think.

most likely because you view is trashing on newbies in the scene. if everyone in the scene thought your way it would have died out long ago. at one point in time i didnt know shit about vehicles (i still dont know alot of shit but i try). this isnt some elite community of people our type of customization is becoming more and more popular so your gonna have to deal with new people who dont know shit when they first get in, but after awhile with the right teaching from their peers in the community they will be at the same level as most of the people who are already doing it right now.
also as an added note go through some of the post on this site and look at the double standard set forth by our community. on one hand if you send your shit to a shop to get done your a pussy for not doing it your self then when some one hears that and does it them self and fucks up they get riddiculed by every one. just thought id let you know that.

i totally agree with DRAGN168, if people thought like that...there wouldnt be a mini scene today. not everyone has money to bring trucks to shop and pay for 1 grand an inch for a bodydrop. and its not a disgrace at all...infact it takes balls to try somethin like that even if u do mess ur truck up. and no one is replyin to this because ur hatin, sounds to me like ur braggin about knowin how to do somethin...just my two cents..

Wouldn't you rather them ask and have someone hopefully tell them the correct way to do it than for them to just go try it without having any real idea on what they're doing???

everyone has to start somewhere. better than payin someone every step of the way. as long as noone is in danger then i say go for it. its only metal, it can always be redone.

wow. what a jackass. that was the stupidest question ive heard on here yet, and you want feedback. beleive it or not streetsource has helped me grow in what i can do because i ask questions. a matter of fact we just bodydropped a tacoma with only pictures and alot of these stupid questions you are refering to. the body drop came out imacculant. no complaints what so ever and for me to say that is saying something. asking questions cant hurt. what the hell is up with all these newbies acting like they know everything and criticize everbody. grow the fuck up dude.
