NAW HOOKED IT TO THE HEADLIGHT, OFCOURSE IT HOOKED TO TANKSometimes it only takes an obvious question for someone to realize a stupid mistake. believe it or not, I actually was helping a guy onetime with a similar problem and low and behold, he failed to screw the pressure switch in anywhere. Simply wired it up. Kinda like someone asking why their computer doesn't want to turn on, when they forgot to plug it into the damn wall (yea, i've seen that one a few times too).
I also asked the question because I don't know your level of intelligence or lack there of (and from some of your posts that I've seen, I have to assume the worst).
As already suggested, disconnect the smaller red wire and see if the compressor continues to run. If it does, the pressure switch or relay could be damaged. You might also want to make sure that your clutch isn't stuck on, in which case nothing except a rebuild of the compressor would fix that. What is the make and model of the compressor?
