flux burns hotter, its just nastier to clean up. so he's alright using it, just have to make sure its all cleaned off or it will let water behind the weld..

110 Flux core?? Dude, redo that shit. Killer idea but make it safe. We don't need anymore minitruckers lost.

the bigger 110 welders will penetrate 3/16-1/4 with flux core without any problems (miller 135 for example)

but it is a porous and weak weld and can be broken because penetration isnt even in most cases.

hey i would also check out the 4 link on the pumpkin, if my memory is correct that piece is cast and welds on cast can break if the piece isnt preheated.
