No shielding gas?

Use the dryer outlet with an extension cord.

I'd wait to get the 50amp installed. Dryer plugs will keep clipping in the long run.

that and there usually not grounded like a NEMA 6-50 box would be.

we had a lincoln fluxcore machine at the sheetmetal shop where i used to work. we'd use it for making drain pans for rooftop units and stuff that required no serious strength. Anything that had to be strong or any welded ductwork installed in teh field, we used either MIG w/ 75/25 or TIG machines.

this guy prolly has no clue what hes doin, but you could bag a truck with a 135 amp 110 welder running flux core. if you know what youre doing the weld will be fine. the weld wont be as neat as with solid wire and shielding gas, but its strong. last time i checked alot of things are built with self shielding rods with an arc welder.

Yup I use a Lincoln Arc for a majoriety of frame work.A mig is nice, and I've got a one,I'm just so stuck in my ways, lol.Never really here of anybody using stick anymore?

I welded my hole frame and BD on my truck using a miller 175 that was plugged into my dryer outlet and it NEVER ONCE popped.

Thanks for deleting all the posts on your guestbook that you didnt want to hear! Thats funny. If you dont want to hear peoples honest opinions, why did you create a new topic on the front page of SSM? Only inexperienced people will say it looks nice... Im not being an ass, just saying the truth
