hey bro you need to grind down some of those welds, put a plate over the joint and weld it again. one of those welds just screams porosity and is asking to be grinded down.

o, and there is nothing wrong with FC welding. it's the welders commonly used with FC that is the problem. even then, they can still be used on the right hands.

^^ not a terrible suggestion. hell i've seen many people do that when they are using large mig welders. cut a diamond out of 3/16" plate and go over the joint onboth sides. looks pretty trick too. like its intentionally overbuilt.

fluxcore does good strong welds when done right. i am a certified flux core welder and ive seen lots of flux core welds be able to handle great strength.

once i get my 220 ran i am going 2 do just that, i got some 1/4 steal i am going plate over the joints.

Hook up some gas to your welder and things should be a lot cleaner. I have seen a lot of good welds with normal wire feed welders that have came out very nice... especially when I seen things being built for hoist testing that withholds over 6 tons of weight.
