Does anyone know who does good Kandy jobs for a fair price in the central Florida area. I'm looking to do House of Kolor Kandy Tangerine and one guy told me like $6000 for a paint job I thought that seemed a bit high, so lets hear your imput.

for a good job, jambs and all, nice bodywork etc, thats actually pretty cheap. kandy can be a bitch to shoot, and its pricy to get it right!!! So 6000 isnt bad, assumiong the work from that shop who quoted u is worth ur wild

dude, u need to make a trip to ur local paint stores, because they make so many colors now that are just base colors, not actually kandys, and they look just damn near like candys. they are a hell of a lot easier to shoot, match, buy, etc. Plus ur cost for a shop to shoot it would be much cheaper if its a base coat in stead of an actual candy!! Id seriously look into that, i hate shooting candies, and so many awesome base coat colors to give u the same effect

House of Kolor has a line of Kandy basecoats. The finish looks like actual Kandy but it shoots as a basecoat. I painted my roof with the Kandy Apple Red base. It's cheaper too and a lot less of the work to get it right.

i hate to piss a lot of people of, but house of kolor is overrated and overpriced. All paint companys now have candy-esque basecoats, u dnt have to deal just with HOK products. The most brilliant kandy like basecoats ive seen lately have benn from R-M diamont products, not HOK. If u can check around for an R-M dealer and take a look at there books, u might be impressed, i sure as hell was!!!

I only paid $4K for HOK 2 tone with metal flake and mind you the car started off white.
