Kandy Paint

That would be great if you can find exactly what that Dupont stuff is. I'm soaking up some knowledge here, you guys keep up the good discusions.

i work at a limo manufacturer and we use Glasruit on all of our limos and whatnot and i can get it at the price my work pays for it. i hear this stuff is really good.

Yes they did the the paint into the door jams and dropped the engine and sprayed that all too

I think I got the paint job worked out in my head now. I figure I got another year before it's painted thouh.

It's not the price of the kandy paint that is so bad. It's so pricey because it has to be perfect. If there are any runs or any other imperfections the entire vehicle has to pretty much be sanded back down and redone...that is if you want your shit to match. If you want it done right without streaks and light spots, you're gonna have to look at spending a little more money. And make sure the painter has shot kandy before, or he'll get your 7g's and you'll get a shitty paint job.

my truck is painted in dupont hot hues kandy apple red over a custom silver base with silver an gold flames with skulls and and it cost me $5200 and that include the body work and shaving the rear emblems off. the shop is J&Z KUSTOMS in largo. mostly does choppers and harley but will paint trucks and cars.

Im not to familiar with the product but that new auto air colors that they painted project red rocker with has some awesome colors and they are said to be pretty durable. I was told the paint dosent chip off when rocks hit it the dent the paint and bounce off. Just what i heard not sure if its true or not but you might look into them. AGAIN IVE NEVER USED IT SO ASK AROUND THERES NO TELLIN YOU MAY LIKE THE STUFF.

I AM A RM PAINTER BUT WHEN I DO A CANDY PAINT JOB I GO WTIH HOUSE OF KOLOR ITS THE BEST TEMPERMENTAL BUT WORTH IT AS FAR AS THE PRICE I GET ANYWHERE FRO 8 TO 100 GRAND PLUS WHATEVER THE BODYWORK OR MODS COST CALL ME CRAZY BUT IF THEY DONT PAY I DONT SPRAY!
