dont take offense to me saying it was a better idea. I should have just said "heres an idea". Sorry about that.

And I dont think my truck is superior to anybodies, we all have clean shit. And straight up, the hinges you all are talking about are tight as fuck but you just see em often, thats all. My rambling on was merely ??? introducing myself ??? I Just wanted to take a social position amongst all you custom folks.

No offence, but that suicide hinge doesnt look to hot... but it gets the job done I guess.

tell me what ishould do to the thing people, dont say, its ghetto, not hot, looks like a shopping cart handle. What do I do to it to improve it. Everybody just wants to say it sucks. WTF?

I never said it sucks... it just doesn't look pretty thats all.

I'm with Corey here, it really isnt appealing. I think it could have been better built. I also think you need like some brass bushings or something. Over time the metal will wear and get sloppy and your hood probably wonr lien up right. With bushings htey would at least be replaceable, and would keep everythign working smoother. Maybe round the edges of your brackets, that will make it look cleaner.
By the time I'm 21 I hope to have a few stock floored truck under my belt. lol.

i thought about some heims joints. 2" 4-link bushings are just too big for the application ya know. maybe Fab it out of billet alluminum and polish the hell out of it? And I think the vertical bars need to be shortened so the hood doesnt stick out so far. I shortened them up twice before i decided on that length. I decided on that length because i wanted the hood to stand vertical because I hate suicide hoods that barely open. But the more and more i look at it, i would rather have it a little snugger to the body and slightly slanted back.

As far as latching it all, i have to put some sort of door latches on the back corners with actuators and poppers. and put a actuator and popper on the front factory latch. So i hit a button and the whole hood pops up vertically to grab underneath it.

any ideas?
