Does anybody know how to get rid of the ABS, maybe some pictures, mine is sort of just hanging right now. I know you have T the front lines and run the front and back into the booster. But maybe im wrong, and i was also wondering if i had to leave all the twisted brake line there or if i could go straight into the booster. Thanks for any help.

On the 95 i know for a fact all the yellow wiring harnesses are ABS u can get rid of all those wires unhook the ABS system itsself and throw it out in the yard as well. Im doing mine right now and u have to T the front lines like u said and at the T im running steel braided lines straight to the booster. Screw the twisty line crap it looks like junk. But if u didnt wanna go steel braided u can go straight hardlines no biggie.

so its no big deal cutting off the twisted line ? anddo i need to put a prop. valve between the master and the rear?

Ummm... All the yellow stuff is airbags... I took all that out, too.

A buddy of mine with a '95 Burban got a part off (I don't know if it's an ABS controler or proportioning valve of some sorts) of an older, like 88 or 89, truck and everything was pretty straightforward.

But the yellow wiring stuff is the air bag stuff.

If I'm wrong, disregard this.

lol!

The yellow stuff is the airbag wiring, I am also in the process of changing mine over to non abs. I purchased a proportioning balve froma junk yard. Mine is a 97 and the brakes are a real bitch to bleed. I talked to one of the techs at work and he said to leave the front bleed valves cracked and do the back brakes first. then bleed the front. if you dont it will feel like you are pulling the steering wheel out of the dash. I just finished bleeding mine and they seem to be working right. haven't gotten to drive it yet though.

ha. until you need a panic stop.

you have to have a prop. valve on brakes.

it's a fact.

front brakes do 70% of your braking

if you don't have one you're fuckin retarted.

the front brakes are disk rear are DRUM those require two different pressures.

seriously... this is why people die.

hmmm. panic stops it still works fine bro. oh yea by the way people die because they build trucks with the same quility of yours haha. way not to stock floor it man. nice lime green truck too, it dont even lay

haha you are a moron, drum brakes take alot less pressure than discs, you are full of shit if you say it works fine. even with full disks you should really run a porportioning valve because of the weight difference in the rear. nothin like slammin on the brakes at 50mph, only to have the rear lock up sending you wherever the truck feels like goin.
