I took cross measurements before and then i blocked the frame up, took everything off and cross measure again then tack the link on, and then do the bags. :fon:

measure everything over and over agian it sould take you at least as much time measuring as it does to actually weld the 4 link in and if you dont know what to measure you should probably have someone that knows what there doing help you

wait...tack the axle to what???...

tack a piece of metal between the axle and side of the frame with the leafs on. when i did mine i used 2 pieces inside and out to keep it from twisting.

look at the left side of the axle...i did this on both sides to hold the axle on center and keep factory pinion angle. then once my upper bars were in i removed em and smoothed out the tacks.

Wow, is that ride height?????? Looking like a 4x4 there. Set the axle at ride height and make all the bars parallel to the groun, with the lowers and uppers parallel.

When I linked my truck I used a plumb bob (weight on a string) and hung it from the frame over the center of the axle. Then drew the line where the string was on the frame, and did this on both sides. I then pulled the leafs, and centered the axle on the marks I made on the frame. I set my pinion angle where I wanted it, and made sure the rear end was dead center, then tacked it to the frame with some 1x1 tube. From here I installed my links, then pulled the axle to fully weld the tabs, and notch the frame.

that is the smartest thing said here. SET PINION ANGLE AT DRIVING HEIGHT
