pinion angle is the angle of your drive shaft meets your rear end or pinion. you want to keep it as strait as possible so i wont bind

thats not right, you dont want your u-joints completely straight they are suppose to have a tiny degree of an angle on them. you need to get the angle where it comes out the tranny and set it up to equal but opposite of that.

so why do the tri... 4 link bars all be paralell to the pavement cant they just be all the same angle.? and wont that keep ur pinion angle? and also whuts the difference between centering the 2 triangulated to the pumppkin or oppposite like 2 the crossmembers? i mean it seeems the same?,. a

More Info On Pinion Angle..

Info on 4-Link Angles (Thanks to StreetIssueCustoms.com):

We typically try to place the lower bars level at ride height. This willminimize "roll steer" (slight wheelbase change caused by the arc of thebars going through their travel). The upper bars should also be level,or slightly down at the front if need be. This configuration will providestable handling and braking characteristics. It is important to get thebars exactly the same from side to side to avoid unpredictablehandling problems. It is also extremely important to make sure thepanhard bar is level at your highway ride height. This will minimize sidetravel of the rear axle induced by the arc of the panhard bar goingthrough its travel. Obviously there are precise formulas for placementof the 4 link bars to maximize certain performance criteria, but theseperformance differences are quite small on a road car. Put the bars inlevel, or close to it, at ride height, and you'll be fine.

ok.. so he didnt know what pinion angle was.
but, he asked and now he should have some kind of better understanding.. he's here asking questions so he DOESN'T "ruin a truck" so it sucks that he'll just see SSM as a place to NOT go for help due to an impression that everyones just gonna be an ass.

some people are set on doing their own work to take more pride in it.. theres no need to be sarcastic & shit over someone trying to learn. everyone has to learn some way.

so yea, corey.. if you're set on taking this on yourself.. you're already on the right track by not being afraid to ask any questions.. keep asking. just be sure to not rush into anything, wait till you're sure about everything and 100% confident.. experience helps, but how else can you GET experience. if possible, have some supervision of someone who's installed 4links and had no problems. later bro

I did it like LOW_SST did. My truck was already lowered 4/5 and that's what I wanted my ride height to be so that worked out nice.
