is this legit?

the whole tape thing prolly won't work. Not because it doesn't show what you want it to or whatever, but they don't care. the judge will prolly already have his mind made up before hearing you speak. the cop isn't going to have the "tape" of the incident with him, they won't be able to pull it up in the court room, and they sure as hell aren't going to reschedule just to watch a 30 sec video. I think you'll get out of it without much trouble man.

I have a few frinds that have got in trouble for stupid stuff like that the law here is if your keys are 20ft away from your ride then they cant do crap if you are on your own property.

if you are on your own property they cant give you a ticket. My dad had a state trooper catch up to him 15 minutes after he got home becuase he seen him drag racing just down the road. All he could do it yell at my dad and threaten to take the car next time he sees it on the road.

its against the law its private property.....but cops do what they please and get away with it.

the thing is that the offence he cited you for was on your driveway. If you commit an offence on public property and then run home you can still get a ticket because if it was this way then everytime there was a car chace the person would only have to make it home to get off the ticket.

Well being a law enforcement officer, I can tell you this, in our town you wouldnt have gotten pulled over for that shit, BUT even though you were out of your ride man when he blue lighted ya in the law book you were driving when you committed the offense no matter how bullshit it was he could still have written you a ticket, it just all boils down to he was being a dickhead which sadly alot of cops are I can say it cuz I work with em everyday man but not all are like that
