surprisingly I can get my POS goin 160kph but I'm not lookin to go any faster than that anyway. I could leave me stoc rear end in, just take it apart and clean it and make sure im not missing any teeth. And if I do break it put the yota rear in. Would putting a locker in my stock rear be a good idea?

when you drop that 302 in there, depending on what tranny you use your top end speed will be reduced alot with the stock rear end.

Sway bars are useless with leaf springs, escalade wheels wont fit on a toyota axle without adapters which will cause them to stick out past your bedsides, and disc brakes are a waste of money on the rear of a truck unless you want them just for looks.

why do so many cars and trucks come factory equipped with sway bars and leafsprings?

Its the factory's way of increasing the price with useless upgrades. Its the same reason they add-on things like steering wheels and engines. Muthafuckas.

i completely dissagree through experiance.

before i bagged my truck i added a 3/4" sway bar from phil/kims s-10 extreeme (IF customs).it made a huge differance and then i added a 1" sway bar in the front...damn truck handeled like a fucken sports car...to bad it did'nt have any power to go with it.

i'm still useing sway bars..bagged,1 1/4" in front and 1" in the rear with the three link (pics of the rear are in my profile).

the rear works like some nascars or fords.

the disc brake upgrade for the toy rear can be purchased at downey off road in norwalk california.

like everyone says, the 4x4 trucks have 6x5.5, but watch out for high gear ratios if you plan on doing any fast speeds (like 60+ mph), and again, factory equipped trucks with disc brakes.. are you saying you are smarter than people who engineer trucks for a living? if you run the 4wd yota rear end, they have a disc brake kit for that axle.Yes I am smarter than people who engineer trucks for a living. I am a nuclear engineering instructor.

obviously not if you think that swaybars are useless as are disc brakes....
