Hey John,
Didn't mean to jack your thread earlier, but if you are looking for serious, honest opinions, I'll give you mine. I've been in this truck thing for over 20 years, so I have seen all the fads come and go. I personally always thought a tandem mini, xcab with a shell was the most awesome
thing to roll out of someone's garage. (like the black Nissan xcab on the West Coast with the custom length Spring shell -

In my opinion, a tandem single cab looks out of place, unless it had a solid shell/campber top to help lengthen the truck some. Now, I personally think that the tandem style is over long ago. Do I think someone can pull off another cool one? Yeah, I do. In my opinion, I wouldn't do 2 different size wheels on the tandem axles like you mentioned. I would keep them the same size to keep uniformity to the vehicle. Now, if someone did a bodydropped tandem, that would be cool. Now - just to throw a wrench in your idea - I know it's not a stopping point - but if you ever do finish the truck and drive it, be warned that you will need a different endorsement/different class of license to drive a vehicle with more than 1 axle. Just thought I would let you know, because when I had mine back in the late 80s/early 90s I got a ton of tickets for that before I got the right paperwork. I say build it man, screw the haters. First - It will be a Ford, 2nd it will be a tandem, and both of those factors combined will equal something cool if it's done right. Build it for you though, not for everyone else. Or build a mini dually and I'll help ya out on some wheels. Thanks - Brent
