yeah i know you would have weld some bracing around the hindges. but would u have to cut and weld them like the other kits.

not sure what ya mean by cut and weld them like the other kits??
with mine i had to cut a hole and weld in the hinge mount... with those kits they just bolt in..like you said though youll have to reinforce around the hinge in the jamb and on the door itself.. you can look in my profile for some pics on my setup.. i know its not the jeep setup but its still along the same lines

lookd good man. i dont want to have to cut my door that way. id rather bolt them on and brace some rather then cut into the door and weld them in.

your not gunna bolt nothing, your doors will most likely look like the rangers door jamb does. looks like he did a good job, what you cant see is if he welded braces or anyting on the inside. suicide doors are a little tricky, if you cant figure out hinges, or tryin to cut corners, you might now want to attempt this type of modification. look at my profile, i used another pair of doors, and did the "old skool" way, where you cut the ends of the doors off, swap the ends, and reweld them in. to me its much more cleaner, factory parts, factory look, but waaaaay more time consuming.

its cool your asking the questions, keep asking until you feel comfrtable, but seriously, saggy doors suck. i have redone several, severely butchered doors, and it sucks redoin someone elses stuff

i used the wagoneer hinges before they had kits . i think it was around 1996. they work really good and are still in the truck. see my profile. but you are better off with a heavy duty kit. Its more straight foward. If you are going to get the wogoneer hinges from the junk yard the older ones use i think 9 /16 socket and the newer ones are torx. At the time when i did mine it seemed like a lot of work. but that was the first time i ever welded any thing and learned how to weld. i guess if you have some experince anything can be done

Jake Moomey from Michigan used the Jeep hinges, and I believe that he had them as bolt ins. His burb was featured in Streettrucks a few years ago....Best of my understanding, he never had one single prob out of them, but he could probably tell you that better than I....

As long as the hinge looks like the one Big Rik posted they will work.
I use them off of late 70s wagoneer's and Jeep pick ups
Corvairs

Older Bel Air hinges are basically the same thing, I believe that is where the box hinge design originated from.Of course, they are a little harder to find than Jeep Cherokee hinges
